Focusing holders hold the microscope body and
contain the mechanism that raises or lowers the body to focus on the specimen.
Complete stands include their own focusing holders. But for other kinds of tasks, however, it may be necessary to mount the microscope body on a boom arm stand or directly onto a machine or some other surface. The focusing holders below offer a range of options for such applications.
F Holder
Focusing holder
with rack and pinion mount that allows smooth, precise focusing over
55mm of travel. Coarse focus mechanism incorporates a slip clutch and
tension adjustment. Fits 20mm diameter, 71mm long mounting post. The
84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies.
FX Holder
Focus holder with integral, adjustable illuminator port. Rack and
pinion mount allows smooth, precise focusing over 55mm of travel.

FS Holder
Tilting focus holder with integral, adjustable illuminator port. Rack and pinion mount allows smooth, precise focusing over 55mm of travel. Coarse focus mechanism incorporates a slip clutch and tension adjustment.
Uses 15.8mm (5/8") diameter, 34.5mm long mounting pin. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts all EM Series stereo bodies.
FC Holder
Focus holder with coaxial coarse and fine focus for high magnification applications where precise fine focus adjustment is required. Rack and pinion mount allows smooth, precise focusing over 33mm of travel.
Coarse and fine focus mechanism incorporates a slip clutch and tension adjustment. Fits 20mm diameter, 82mm long mounting post (FC11 adapter allows mounting to 71mm long posts). The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts
all EM Series stereo bodies.
FSC Holder
The
FSC is an inclinable coarse and fine adjusting focus block with 5/8"
diameter mounting pin to hold the stereo microscope body onto any
machine or other special applications. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts
all EM Series stereo bodies.
FK Holder
The
FK has a deeper throat depth (164.6mm) than the remainder of Meiji focus
blocks which are 136.8mm. This coarse adjusting focus block can be mounted in either direction and holds any Meiji stereo microscope body
onto a machine or for other special OEM applications. The 84.2mm diameter opening accepts
all EM Series stereo bodies. It also allows our oblique viewing attachment to spin 360
degrees without coming into contact with the focusing holder.
FCD Holder
The Model FCD has a fine focus knob as well as coarse. This coarse/fine adjusting focus block can be mounted in either
vertical position.
As long as the camera to be mounted accepts a 1/4"-20 bolt like
most video, 35mm and digital cameras, this focus block can be used for
many custom or OEM applications
FD Holder
The
Model FD has only a course focus knob which is fine for most video or
microscopy applications
This coarse adjusting focus block can be mounted in either vertical
position.
As long as the camera to be mounted accepts a 1/4"-20 bolt like most video, 35mm and digital cameras, this focus block can be used for many custom or OEM applications.
FC11 Mounting Pin Extension
The
FC11 is required when mounting the FC Focus block on the 71mm length
mounting pin of the S-4000 series stands.
