Optical Components


	Optical components for the RZ Series include the RZ-B zoom body, viewing heads, eyepieces, and objective lenses. Each of these components are required in any complete RZ system.
	RZ-B ZOOM STEREO BODY The RZ-B is the central component of any RZ system. The zoom optics have a 10:1 zoom ratio and a base magnification of 0.75x to 7.5x. Depending on your selection of eyepieces and objectives, this translates into an total magnification range of 3.75x to 300x. The zoom controls indicate magnification at 12 positive click-stops throughout the zoom range, making photograph framing and measuring easily repeatable and consistent. Dual-iris diaphragms offer excellent control over resolution, contrast, and depth of field. The zoom optics are housed in a rugged aluminum alloy body for increased stability and durability, and all components are coated with an anti-static finish to protect sensitive specimens.

Eyepieces

Distortion-free, ultra widefield eyepieces with dioptric adjustment of +/- 5 diopters are available in powers of 10x, 15x, and 20x. (All eyepieces come with rubber eyeshields)

	Viewing Heads MA748 Standard Viewing Head The standard head is inclined at 45° and has an interpupillary distance adjustment from 46mm to 75mm. The economical choice for standard applications.
	MA749 Ergonomic Viewing Head The ergonomic viewing head allows you to use the RZ system comfortably in any situation for extended periods of time. Eyetubes tilt from 10° to 50° of inclination, and adjust for interpupillary distances from 52mm to 75mm.

Objectives

High resolution, flat-field, plan-achromatic common main objectives are available in powers of 0.5x, 0.75x, 1.0x, 1.5x, and 2.0x.
